Everyone said it so well, I can only agree that you don't have to buy everything AG puts out! I collect nine different toy lines, and if I bought EVERYTHING in each line, well...I couldn't...lol. I've sat down and made lists of what I want for each line, and I limit my collecting to just what I want.

When the new My Little Ponies came out two years ago, however, I wasn't subscribed to that theory yet and I tried to get EVERY pony made! And let me tell you, it got mighty frusterating after awhile! So I take time off from ponies, and I only get ponies that I do like. The same goes for American Girl and the other seven collections I have going.

As for Mattel, I'm not going to complain too much. Except for my childhood Molly, all my items are from Mattel. So far I've been very lucky and I've been happy with all my purchases. Just today my father commented how well the clothing is made while I was putting Elizabeth in her tea dress.

I don't have a problem with them releasing 2 to 4 dolls a year. I like the LE AGoT's, because they set a positive example for girls in the time period they're living in. And of course the historicals go above and beyound in that category. Little girls also look very different, so a bigger AGT selection is also nice. And I definetly can't complain about more histocials!

Personally, I don't know if I'll get Jess or not. If I don't like her, then I won't get her. I loved Marisol, and still drool over Kailey and Lindsey, not to mention plan to fork out the $$$ for them after I get all the historicals, so there's a pretty good chance I will like her.
